2015-16 CBJ Bold Predictions

The 2015-16 CBJ season is going to be fun-filled and history making, that is my first prediction!  With the moves the CBJ made this off-season, they are finally poised for success.

My first prediction isn’t really that bold at all.  The first line of Foligno-Johansen-Saad will be amazing.  That line combined for 29 or so points just in the preseason, so we’re all hoping that continues into the regular season.  My Bold Prediction : Johansen has 90+ points on the season.  This guy is about to explode.

Saad is going to prove he made the right decision by chipping in and setting career highs in goals and points, while Foligno continues his quest for respect outside of Blue Jacket world.  Proving his “C” is no fluke.

I think Bobrovsky returns to form, and in a big way.  We need him to be healthy and play the way we all know he is capable of playing.  Even with the forwards in front of him, ultimately, he needs to be the reason this team takes the next step.  My Bold Prediction : Bobrovsky finishes as runner up for the Vezina trophy, and wins 45 games! Winning 45 games would normally be a lock for the Vezina, but I think one other goalie will eclipse that.

There are too many things about this roster that make me gitty, so I’ll leave this post with one more final bold prediction.  I honestly feel, deep in my CBJ fandom, that this is a year to make not only a big step, but a step that will change the perception of this franchise forever…

My Bold Prediction : The Jackets win 54 games and outright win the Metropolitan Division.  Behind Bobrovsky and Johansen, this team wins and wins big.  Getting over the hump and finally winning the division.

This is just my take and by no means reflects the thoughts of all CBJ fans.  It’s almost time ladies and gentlemen, time to have fun!
