Tonight we will be having Lindsay Kramer, The Post-Standard’s beat writer for the Syracuse Crunch, come on the “Fire The Cannon” podcast tonight. He will be able to give us a full insight on what is going on down on the farm and from what I hear, there is plenty to talk about.

How about the recent signing of Dan Fritsche, or who is the #1 goaltender, or how good is Brent Regner or….I think you get the point.

He is a repeat offender of the show and knows Crunch hockey like no one else.

Your not going to want to miss this weeks “Fire The Cannon” podcast on Wednesday at 7pm ET. We have worked our way all the way through the Central Division and now it is time to take a look at the Blue Jackets.

We will be having R.J. Umberger as a special guest. Umberger has quickly become the heart and soul of the Blue Jackets. Getting his comments and opinions of the upcoming season will be very intriguing!

Also, we will have Assistant Coach Gary Agnew join the discussion. We will get the opportunity to get the view from behind the bench and what he is able to see for the new season.

I will be having special round table of writers & broadcasters that cover the Blue Jackets. Lori Schmidt from 97.1 The Fan and The Fourth Period, Bart Logan from FireTheCannon.com, Jeff Little from Inside Hockey, Bethany Porter from Kukla’s Korner and John Arvai from Light The Lamp. I also will be having guests from the Blue Jackets and I will announce those as soon as I get confirmation who they will be.

NHL Tweetup @ the Draft

The draft is only nine days away and Eric Smith has set up an NHLTweetup. Working with the Blue Jackets, Eric has coordinated with them and the people from Nhl Tweetup to get reserved seats at the draft unlike the general public. THANKS! We are currently working on a few things additional things like giveaways and some other neat stuff. You will need to RSVP at NHLTWEETUP.com. It will be the only way that Eric and the Blue Jackets will be able to count up how many people are coming and ensure you a seat. A lot more details are on their site. Fire The Cannon’s Team Grows

The team at FTC is proud to announce that Eric Smith and Rob Ogden have decided to join our team. Eric Smith has been a hockey fan his entire life. His roots for the game come from Fort Wayne where the Komets of the IHL play. They are the most successful minor league hockey program in the U.S. drawing on average of over 10,000 people. Later on he moved to the Columbus region and the Blue Jackets opened up shop, Eric’s passion for the sport as well as the NHL grew even more.

He is now credentialed by the Blue Jackets and has been covering the team and continues to do so for Hockeybuzz.com since 2007. He has gone to develop some great relationships with the team including front office, coaches and players.

Mr. Rob Ogden is a local boy from Columbus Ohio, he backs a sports journalism major from Ohio University. He has followed the Blue Jackets since their inception in the league and has been an avid hockey fan ever since.

Nothing like having a hometown boy and someone of Eric’s stature join our team. Look for them to start posting articles in the near future.

On a side note, you will probability start to notice some changes and updates to the site in the next couple of days as your feedback and suggestions have be tremendous.
