Game Preview: Columbus Blue Jackets vs. Buffalo Sabres

The Columbus Blue Jackets, after picking up their first win under new head coach Claude Noel, will host the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday. Columbus, four points behind fourth place St. Louis will look to win their second straight game for the first time since they won three straight in early January.
Buffalo comes in, in third place in the Eastern Conference. The Sabres have picked up 71 points, winning 32 of 55 games on the season. The Sabres have scored 155 goals and allowed 136 defensively. Buffalo when playing on the road have won 14, lost 10, and skated to 7 overtime losses.
The Sabres are led in points by center Tim Connolly. Connolly has scored 14 goals and dished out 38 assists. The leading goal scorer for Buffalo is Thomas Vanek. The leftwinger has scored 17 goals on the season. Between the pipes for Buffalo has been Ryan Miller in 48 of their 58 games. Miller has won 29 games and lost 13 on the season, with a 2.12 goals against average.
This will be the lone meeting between the two teams this season.
