Fire the Cannon Podcast 3/30/2011

The Fire The Cannon podcast hosted by Eric Smith and Lori Schmidt has a loaded show this week. FOX Sports Ohio’s John Michael will come on the show to talk about last night’s victory over Florida, what players he thinks will stay and go and maybe some funny stories from the road this year.

We will also have Stephen Whyno from the Washington Times who will be able to preview the Capitals, talk about former Blue Jacket Jason Chimera and his strong thoughts on him being a healthy scratch, the return of Alex Ovechkin and much more.

Justin Boggs from ColumbusWired.net is our writer of the week in our “5 in 5″ segment which will answer fans questions about the Blue Jackets.

We’ll also have our prospect of the week award and some “He said, She said.”

You won’t want to miss this show and it all starts at 7pm Wednesday night.

My roots for the game come from Fort Wayne where the Komets of the IHL play. They are the most successful minor league hockey program in the U.S. drawing on average of over 10,000 people. Then as I have moved to the Columbus region and the Blue Jackets opened up shop, my passion for the sport as well as the NHL grew even more.
