It is too little too late, for the season, let's hope not for the franchise.

Let's be honest, like most sports without fans they will be gone. If they aren't winning, or at least putting on a good show, the fans are going to leave. Maybe Arniel could have turned things around, but the fans were leaving so something had to be done.

As far as the franchise is concerned, they had better be seriously considering major changes. Because the way things are going they wont be here much longer.

Too little too late for the Blue Jackets. I mean "too little too late" in reference to the season, but I'm starting to wonder if it is starting to become true with the Blue Jackets franchise in general.

With all due respect, please utilize paragraphs. This write up is extremely hard to read because it's just one big paragraph. I hate to be snooty about it and I don't want to seem like a jerk.

Thanks for going and live tweeting, much appreciated! I bet it was a great game watching the prospects clean house.

mathieu corbeil is a really big kid with very good flexability. played fantastic in the four playoff contests and came in relief in two of them. he also played good in the memorial cup round robin loosin to the kootney ice in overtime but in that game the seadogs sat alot of their superstars including there number 1. the only thing corbeil needs work on is his rebound an to learn to direct them into the corner

I agree 100% that it was a meaningless game. And yes, Arniel would feel different if the shoe was on the other foot. However, we have seen time and time again ref's favoring the apposing team this season. Does that make it right? Absolutely not, just frustrating as a fan seeing things favored in the opposing team time and time again.

Of course Rivet didn't intend to hurt him. But that is my reasoning for not deserving a major. So, I guess my problem isn't with this call, but the head-shot rule in general. I feel that there are occasions where it should be enforced, and punished to the full extent of the rule book, but other times (such as this situation) there should be some wiggle room. Accidents happen.

Arniel's comments can be ignored. Turn it around and he'd feel different. That's what coaches do. If you don't think it should be a 5-minute major then you're right, you're not a good fan. The NHL has instructed Ref's to hand out majors for any head-shots. Doesn't matter if it is intentional or not. Rivet's a good guy and I highly doubt he had any intent to injure his former teammate, but a head-shot is a head-shot. But what's the big deal, this was a meaningless game?

You've got to love the maturity of 'The Johan'. As a Winterhawk season ticket holder, I can tell Jacket fans that Johansen has definitely put on weight and his size is markedly bigger...he can easily hold off opponents from the puck when circling the attacking zone.

Hopefully, he makes it...but in a selfish sort of way...hopefully he is back next year too. ;-)

Go Hawks.
